Singleton Group, Health & Safety

ENVIRONMENTAL

The Singleton Group is wholly committed to protecting our work environment and the environment more generally. We pay particular attention to the control of waste and the prevention of pollution as identified by our environmental risk assessment. We take a proactive approach to minimise , noise, dirt, and disruption to others on site. We have a proven record of successfully contributing to site environmental strategy, especially in the construction sector.

HEALTH & SAFETY

It is the policy across the Singleton group to provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, safe machinery, safe systems of work and suitable instruction, information, training and supervision for all our employees at all times.
We acknowledge and maintain the same duty of care towards other affected by our activities as we do to our own employees.
Our positive approach to accident prevention, the adoption of recognised good practice, visible leadership  and a philosophy of continuous improvement at all levels of the company allows us to attain higher health and safety standards than simple minimal compliance.
Our site supervisors all hold the CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme certificate and all our operatives and managers hold relevant CSCS registration as a minimum. We employ a full time NEBOSH trained health and safety professional.
As well as official training and certification we have received a number of health and safety awards from our clients, the latest being in July 2014 from Merck Global Engineering Services for;
‘exemplary leadership in Safety excellence, applying safety best practices and innovative approaches in a team environment, and achieving results that positively impacted the Craft, Project, Company and Community’.
